Las Fallas in La Pobla de Farnals and Women\u2019s Week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In La Pobla de Farnals<\/strong>, near Valencia, the coming weeks are dedicated to two special events: Las Fallas<\/strong> and Women\u2019s Week (Semana de la Dona)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las Fallas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Las Fallas is one of the most spectacular traditions of the Valencia region. Huge colorful sculptures called fallas<\/em> appear in the streets. These artistic creations are made by local artists and community groups and often tell humorous or satirical stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the festival there are parades, music, fireworks and the famous masclet\u00e0<\/strong>. The highlight is the Crem\u00e0<\/strong>, when the fallas are ceremonially burned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
