Recognition contemplates water quality or coastal cleaning
The North Beach of La Pobla de Farnals has again achieved this year the Blue flag, a recognition granted by the European Federation of Environmental Education based on criteria such as water quality, cleanliness of space, the presence of health services, Security, the information provided to the visitor or the initiatives of ecological awareness that are developed.
The 132 blue flags of the Comunitat Valenciana’s coastline make it the region of the state with the highest number of these awards. 31 of these beaches are in the province of Valencia and two of them in the region of l’Horta Nord, specifically in Puçol, in addition to La Pobla de Farnals.
The town hall of La Creu is currently working to obtain other mentions that prove the quality of its coastline. The first is the one granted by AENOR, which takes into account factors such as waste management, monitoring of hygienic and sanitary conditions, conservation of the natural environment, control of polluting atmospheric emissions and Noise minimization. In the long term we also want to obtain a standard that endorse the condition of the Paseo de Colom as a totally accessible space for people with functional diversity.
